Other Information
We are still looking for people to sign up for the big buck/whopper doodle contest. Cost is $10.00 for the big buck and $20.00 for the Whopperdoodle. Deadline is September 21st. All interested please contact Tim Thacker at 357-1610 or Steve Newland at 357-1861.
The next date for our WOW camp out and 4 wheel drive trip is Saturday, September 22nd thru Sunday, September 23rd, we will have it at Kent Steadman's "farm". We will meet at 8:30 AM in Mountaineer's parking lot for anyone who doesn’t know the way, anyone interested in going, e-mail dawn8971@hotmail.com .
Our next EC Meeting will be on September 24th at the Holston Electric Building in Church Hill at 7:00 PM. Everyone is invited to attend.
DATES FOR PHIPPS BEND WALKDOWNS AND WORKDAYS
September 1st- Workday- Meet at Randall's Restaurant for breakfast at 6:00 AM or at the tech school parking lot behind the bend at 7:00 AM. (Randall's is on the right side of Hwy 11 W, left side of Minor's Market. just before Volunteer High Schiool as if you are driving from Kingsport.)
September 15- Second workday- Same meeting location and time as Sept 1st workday.
September 17th-walkdown- Meet at 5:30 PM at the tech school parking lot at the Bend. This walkdown is for those that did not attend one of the workdays.
Dec 8th-Walkdown- Meet at 8:00 AM at the tech school parking lot at the Bend. This walkdown is for those that wish to enter the drawing for the second juvenile hunt and those that receive the Hawkins County Antlerless Quota Permits from the TWRA drawing.
The four dates listed above are the ONLY dates available for the Walkdown opportunities. No other walkdowns will take place for this hunting season. NO EXCEPTIONS.
